The Schynige Platte is truly something you must experience. Words can not describe the beauty you will experience after a scenic 1 hour rail ride on a traditional Swiss Cog Railway.
Besides the amazing panoramic views, you can expect to witness a 650 plant species Alpine Garden.
From the top you can go on one of the many hiking trails, ranging from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours (warning, could be longer depending on how much you stop due to the breath taking views!). If you want to stop for something to eat whilst enjoying the views, there is even a restaurant up there at 2000m.
Catch the train from Wilderswil (easily reached from Interlaken Ost / Lauterbrunnen).
